*Yukio Mishima, pseudonimo di Kimitake Hiraoka, è stato uno scrittore, drammaturgo, saggista, poeta, patriota e paramilitare giapponese. Mishima fu uno dei pochi autori giapponesi a riscuotere immediato successo anche all'estero.

**Neve di primavera, scritto da Yukio Mishima nel 1968, è il primo romanzo della tetralogia “Il mare della fertilità”. Nel romanzo, sul ciglio di una cascata, Satoko vede un cane morto. A ciò fanno riferimento i primi versi della canzone.

***Probabile riferimento al film capolavoro diretto da Fellini “Amarcord” (1973), dove in una scena, verso la fine del film, c’è il pavone nella neve.
